I was raised in Humboldt County, where community, connection, and looking out for one another are a way of life. Being surrounded by nature and a tight-knit music scene deeply shaped how I move through the world, it taught me the importance of creating safe spaces, showing up for each other, and moving through life with intention. It also sparked something in me, a love for creation and a desire to bring people together in meaningful ways.
As I moved through different spaces, I found myself wanting to carry that Humboldt energy with me, that sense of belonging, intention and magic. Feeling inspired by the community that raised me, I felt called to create and hold space of my own, spaces where people feel safe to fully express all parts of themselves.
That calling is what became Royal Rising.
Royal Rising is more than a festival.
It’s an intention.
A container for transformation.
A space we are consciously creating to bring people together, rooted in peace, love, unity, and respect. A place where you can open, express, and be fully seen.
We are holding a safe, sacred space for connection, creativity, and self-expression, where music, art, nature, and community weave together into something deeper than just a weekend.
This is about reconnecting, with ourselves, with each other, and with something deeper.
This is about stepping into our truth.
This is about rising together.
Our goal is to raise the collective consciousness, not just through sound, but through presence, connection, and the energy we share with one another.
With Royal Rising, I’m bringing forward everything I’ve learned from the community that raised me, expanding that sense of belonging into something larger.
What we’re creating is intimate, intentional, and alive, an enchanted space where transformation unfolds naturally through connection and shared experience.

Welcome to Royal Rising ✨
Born in Mendocino County, my daughter Milani came into this world at the exact same time I was birthing my first business. 🌱✨
I had no idea then how connected those two journeys would become.
What started as a young mama chasing a dream with turntables, late nights, hustle, and heart slowly evolved into a life built around music, community, creativity, and purpose. Through every wedding, festival, setback, breakthrough, road trip, rave, and dance floor… Milani was there watching it all unfold.
Now here we are years later, creating something beyond magical together.
Being a producer of Royal Rising Festival alongside my daughter feels deeply full circle. This is more than just an event to us. It’s a reflection of generations rising together through music, art, connection, healing, and self-expression.
I went from building a DJ business as a young mother to now standing beside my daughter as business partners, artists, and visionaries bringing a dream to life.
Watching Milani grow into her own creative force has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. She inspires me daily to keep evolving, keep dreaming bigger, and keep creating spaces where people can feel free to fully be themselves.
Royal Rising is rooted in love, resilience, community, and the belief that when we rise together, we create magic. 👑✨

Hi, we’re Milani & Michelle, the mother-daughter duo behind Royal Rising💟
What we’re creating is deeply rooted in family, community, and connection. This festival is more than just an event to us, it’s a reflection of the values we’ve lived and shared, and something we’ve dreamed into reality side by side.
At its core, Royal Rising is a family-run, community-built production, a co-creation with spirit and the people around us. It’s shaped by our friends, family, and everyone called to grow and rise alongside us, artists, builders, and creators all contributing their energy and vision.
We believe that when we create space for one another, we create something bigger than ourselves.
We’re not just organizing an event, we’re holding space.
Space for creativity, expression, connection, and belonging.
